This insurance is designed to cover losses arising from sudden and unforeseeable circumstances. It is important that you read and understand your policy as your coverage is subject to certain Limitations and Exclusions.

Important Exclusions

| Waiting Period for Sickness | If the insurance is purchased: • Within 30 days of the date you depart your country of origin, there will be a 48-hour waiting period; or • 30 days or more after you depart your country of origin, there will be a 7-day waiting period. Any sickness that manifests itself during the above waiting period is not covered, even if the related expenses are incurred after the waiting period. The waiting period will be waived if you purchase the insurance: • Before the date of departure from your country of origin; or • Before your existing Destination: Canada Visitors Plan policy expires, provided there is no lapse or gap in coverage; or • Before any other existing health insurance coverage expires, provided there is no lapse or gap in coverage. |

The fastest way to claim eligible medical expenses for which you have paid out-of-pocket is to submit your receipts through the secure The Assistance and Claims Administrator portal at: www.globalexcel.com/bhspecialty
Most of our customers complete their claim forms online and submit their eligible medical expenses through the Assistance and Claims Administrator porta. Receipts can be submitted electronically in PDF or JPEG formats.
If you are unable to submit your claims through the Assistance and Claims Administrator porta, you can reach out directly to Assistance and Claims Administrator to receive the forms. Once completed, mail the completed form and any other supporting documentation to:
